6/23

Thank you to everyone who has pledged money or sent kind words for your support. My appreciation for you all is immense, I cannot express how much all of the kind words mean to me. Thank you.

It’s been a boring four days in Nájera, but that was by design. I’ve been having pain in my ankles from a muscle strain or shin splints, I’m not really sure which. So, I decided to hole up here where there aren’t as many temptations to walk around and explore. I’ve been using the RICE method and my pain/swelling are way down. I think the reason I’m feeling this is because of the zero-drop shoes I am using, which change your gait and the muscles you use for walking. I bought some insoles that will hopefully change this and allow me to walk with less pain. Tomorrow morning I will leave Nájera and begin walking again, and I’ll carry my full pack for the first time in about a week. I’m very excited to start walking again, I’m going stir crazy in this hotel room.

¡Buen Camino!
